American Pop star Madonna is receiving a huge reaction to her Lady Gaga video. She’s in fact resurrected a story from more than a year ago, planted it on YouTube, and became very popular within a short period of time.
When Lady Gaga released her popular song “Born This Way”, many critics and fans drew comparisons to Madonna’s hit song “Express Yourself,” and dubbed the song an alter of the pop legend’s hit.
Gaga has attempted to dismiss critics and negative attitude by denying that she stole anything from Madonna. She even made an appearance on the Tonight Show and claimed that she had been given the consent of Madonna herself, which seemed to calm things down.
Infact a video featuring Madonna “segueing” from “Express Yourself” into “Born This Way,” and finally to “She’s Not Me,” which is a song about a copycat has been leaked. The video was recorded at some stage in rehearsals for her Tel Aviv show, which is set for this Thursday.
The drama about the resemblance between these two hit songs has been continuing. “I thought, this is a wonderful way to redo my song,” Madonna told ABC news about Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.” “I mean, I recognized the chord changes. I thought it was…interesting.”
Madonna has said that she thought Gaga was influenced by her work. Lady Gaga has also said in response of Madonna, “I’m a songwriter, I’ve written loads of music. Why would I try to put out a song and think I’m getting one over on everybody? That’s retarded.” Gaga told British music magazine NME last year.
